Funoon is thrilled to present one of Austin’s own beloved voices Marina Barsoum. We’ve invited Marina to perform alongside one of NY's cherished ensembles, Zikrayat, to bring you an evening brimming with Tarab and captivating sounds.

Mentored by international singer Nai Barghouthi and voice-trained with the Coptic Choir as young as 6, Marina delivers flawless melodies with ease and her velvety vocals transport listeners into a state of musical exhilaration.  With regular performances across the United States and internationally (most notably at the Granada International Music and Dance Festival in Spain), Funoon is excited to host her talent to the stage.

Guiding our musical journey is Zikrayat Ensemble's founder, Sami Abu Shumayes. His deep understanding of Arabic music, coupled with the ensemble's 19 years of collaboration and an impressive roster of musicians, ensures an unforgettable experience filled with entrancing Arabic grooves.
